Search Engine Optimization and

Internet Marketing Made Easy

 by Doug Henricksen

  1. Design and build your website.

  2. Use Big Stock Photo for all your image needs when designing your website. They have royalty free stock photos for as low as $1. Other photo websites charge much more for the same quality photos.

  3. If you want to add forms to your website I would recommend Best Web Forms. You purchase the software instead of paying a monthly fee, which is much more economical in the long run. They offer 14 Contact Forms, 5 Marketing forms, 7 General Business Forms and 14 Specific Business Forms. The software is easy to use and it allows you to customize the forms to match the look of your website.

  4. Choose a website name that best represents the products and/or services that you sell. Attempt to include your most relevant keywords in your website name. The lower your website name registers in the alphabet the better.

  5. Determine the most relevant Meta tag Keywords for the products and/or services that you sell on each page.

  6. Use Google to check the Meta tag Keywords located in the source code of the top 10 competitors websites.

  7. Use the free Trellian or Google Keyword tool to determine the popularity of keywords. The most popular keywords are not necessarily the best. Niche Keywords have less competition and will often result in more traffic.

  8. Write the Meta Tag Title and Description based on the most relevant Keywords for each page.

  9. Write content that is relevant and utilizes the Keywords in the Meta tag Title and Description for each page. Write a description that gains the respect of visitors, calls them to take some kind of action and you will increase your conversion rate (CR).

  10. Place an ad that provides information about your company, products, services and website on Craig’s List and backpage. This is a great way to get the major search engines to spider your new site. My Craig’s List and backpage listings have received top 10 positions on Google. It is also a great way to locate potential suppliers and employees. Automate your online advertising on Craig's List with Ad Master. This application is great for ANYONE who wants to maximize there time more efficiently. This is a feature rich product that has more included features STANDARD then other programs have available. On top of that they have regular updates, often more then one a week, and new features being added to the program on a regular basis.

  11. Create an account that provides information about your company, products, services and website on Alibaba. This is another great way to get the major search engines to spider your new site. My Alibaba listings have also received top 10 positions on Google. It is a great way to locate suppliers. Consider promoting your products on Alibaba’s SuperDeals. Suppliers have been known to receive as many as 979 quality inquiries in just 3 months. A similar site that you can also utilize is getamarket.

  12. Create an account that provides information about your company, products, services and website on Power Sourcing - The Industrial Resource Network of Buyers and Suppliers. A full-service industrial directory that will allow you to keep your name in front of thousands of potential customers.

  13. Create an account that provides information about your company, products, services and website on Squidoo. Squidoo is a website designed to make it easy for anyone, for FREE, to set up a single page on a topic he or she knows or cares a lot about. Learn more.

  14. Submit your Site to DirectoryVault. This will give you one way links which carry more weight on the search engines.

  15. Drive Buyers to your site with ezine marketing. I recommend Directory Of Powerful Ezines. Online since 1998. Endorsed by every major marketer. Over 40 million readers! The lifetime membership that they offer may seam a little pricy, but if you are serious about building an Internet presence and business for the long haul, it is more cost effective than paying other Ezine monthly fees. A lifetime membership includes a wealth of information and resources from a variety of Internet marketing experts.

  16. Drive Buyers to your site with email marketing. Key2Net has been my favorite lead source, the leads are extremely inexpensive. Click here for more lead sources.

  17. Aweber and Getresponse will allow you to manage an unlimited number of email lists and send them messages whenever you want. I would also recommend a professional autoresponder such as MLMPowerMarketing to manage your lists of prospects. Click here for more information on managing lead campaigns.

  18. Use Blogger to create your own Blog. Write your Blog stuffed with Keywords and keyword links to your sites most relevant landing pages.

  19. Write Press Releases stuffed with Keywords and Keyword links to your websites most relevant landing pages.

  20. Submit Press Releases to PRLog and/or I-Newswire. Although both websites offer free press release submissions, for a small fee I-Newswire will index higher on Google.

  21. Manually add your website to Google.

  22. Open a Google account. There you will find a comprehensive list of webmaster and marketing tools for your website.

  23. Create a link strategy to increase your Page Rank on Google and other major search engines. I have used and found LinksManager to be the easiest and most cost effective means to create and manage an effective link strategy. Links on similar sites with one way links carry more weight with search engines. Using keyword stuffed links with a consistent naming convention will also carry more weight with search engines.

  24. Write an article pertaining to a subject that you have knowledge and/or expertise and consumers would be willing to pay for. Dedicate this article to its own page on each of your websites. On a navigation bar or page on each of your websites, offer this valuable information for FREE to anyone that submits their name and e-mail address on the provided request form. You can then use the submitted names and e-mail addresses to create e-mail marketing campaigns.

  25. If you don't have the time to perform SEO and Internet marketing you can utilize a comprehensive website promotion business. A good example is Amazing Billboards. They are not cheap, but worth it if you are serious about creating an online presence with significant income potential.

  26. Join social networking websites Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and YouTube. Create an online video that demonstrates your product and/or service.

Special Note: Providing one way links to your website on sites like Craig’s List, backpage, Alibaba, Power Sourcing, Squidoo and DirectoryVault will increase your page rank and position on Google. It will also drive valuable traffic/customers to your website. Writing Blog's and Press Releases stuffed with keywords and keyword links will improve your page rank and position on Google even more.
